Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement or Medigap is another type of insurance sold by private companies that pay medical costs not covered by Medicare. It covers out-of-pocket costs such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Medicare is a federal health insurance plan that provides coverage for people aged 65 and older, as well as people with certain disabilities or medical conditions. Ten standardized Medigap plans are available, each with a different level of coverage. The plans are labeled A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M, and N, and private insurance companies offer them. The benefits provided by each plan are the same regardless of the insurance company that offers it, although the cost may vary.
